Studying at a College can be confusing and challenging. But at Sydney Met, we do everything possible to make your transition smooth and easy. We provide the help you need from day one through to graduation. There are a range of free support services available if you’re struggling academically, but you can access them all from the moment you start with us. We assist students to develop approaches to learning that will enable them to succeed in their academic study.
Sydney Met provides on-campus and online consultation and workshop based learning support. Lecturers, tutors and course coordinators can help students with a range of support and services from planning the structure of your course to making progress in assessment and learning. You can contact the course coordinator, unit coordinator or lecturers for individual learning support and advice.
Sydney Met has a range of resources for study skills which are designed to help students with study and language, writing and numeracy skills. Some workshops are specially designed for students to develop critical thinking skills and complete assessment.
Library officers can help student with finding books, search online database and use referencing guide. Students can contact library officer via [email protected].
Sydney Met is committed to working with Career Advisers to offer regular career workshops to students with comprehensive information on preparing for and finding the job they are qualified for. We recognise the crucial role Career Advisers play in guiding and assisting students to make informed decisions, helping students provide valuable information and advice, at a time when it is needed most. One on one career appointments are available that will focus on your resume, cover letter, job searching, and interview skills.

As a student and staff at Sydney Met, you can access a range of counselling support and services. If you are experiencing difficulties and would like to connect with somebody, Sydney Met has an agreement with converse international to have access to 8 different types of counselling and coaching services.
We want to ensure that you feel confident to utilise this free and confidential service, whenever you need it – whether it is for a simple chat or urgent support.

The legal system in Australia can be new to many students and it is important to understand student rights and obligations, both as a student, and as a resident of Australia. The college cannot provide legal advice, but is able to assist with general information about how to find legal information or where to look for legal advice.
College’s Student Counsellor is able to assist with these matters. Student can contact various legal services available in Australia.
