Sydney Met Alumni Connect (SAC)

Empowering Connections:
Sydney Met's Vibrant Alumni Network

At Sydney Met, we are committed to cultivate partnerships with the First Nations Peoples, communities, non-profit sector, industry, higher education institutions, universities, government, communities, and research institutes in Australia and elsewhere to understand the challenges and opportunities facing diverse and changing societies.

We are interested to collaborate with our network of academic, students, stakeholders and alumni, to generate new knowledge and improving our teaching and learning by working together across disciplines.

We are proud to partner with a range of community organisations and are always open to collaborate with a range of organisations understanding works of mutual benefits and recognising the incredible work and commitment of community members.

We are committed to identify and develop national and global partnerships with higher educational institutes, universities and other organisations overseas (subject to regulatory approval, and after meeting all compliance requirements) that provide opportunities for Sydney Met to build global networks that staff and students can access to further their own professional and personal development, including research collaboration, research training, student engagement and international opportunities.

We are interested to drive internationalisation and intercultural competencies of Sydney Met offerings. We plan to offer a range of opportunities for students to undertake a short period or a semester of study overseas, with a partner institution or third-party provider, to gain international experience; enhancing the breadth and depth of their studies and supporting the development of positive and competent global citizens.

The Sydney Met Global Mobility Program is being developed which will provide a breadth of cultural diversity on campus, through bringing students from partner institutions and education agents to spend a semester or two on campus at Sydney Met in the future.

Acknowledgement of Country

Sydney Met's campus is located on the unceded territory of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the traditional owners of the land where the campus is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia and Indigenous peoples globally who are presently studying, working, or contributing to Sydney Met.
