Our Strategy

Our Strategic Plan

We are pleased and proud to share the Strategic Plan (2023 – 2027), which presents our vision and guides our practice at Sydney Met over the next five years. The goal of Sydney Met is to become a leading independent higher education provider in Australia, distinguished by academic quality, equitable practice and social impact. Together, these commitments translate our agenda of ‘Education for Change’. Our vision has developed from analysing Australia’s current higher educational culture and recognising the need to better serve international and domestic students. When their needs are not met, we as higher education providers, are unable to recognise and utilise the diverse cultural strengths of our students and staff, nor can we teach the value of social responsibility. By advancing creative, critical, and entrepreneurial thinking along with culturally engaged learning, research and scholarship, Sydney Met Strategic Plan provides guidance to fill these gaps. Through our Strategic Plan, we aim to provide a transformational education experience that will inspire and equip a new generation of students worldwide. Effective education requires a deep understanding of students' backgrounds, values, and assumptions, and Sydney Met takes culture seriously. We believe transformational learning only occurs when students can engage deeply with the educational process. We are committed to develop and maintain robust governance, proactive risk management, strong quality assurance, and prudent financial management to realise our vision for a transformative education at Sydney Met.
Acknowledgement of Country

Sydney Met's campus is located on the unceded territory of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the traditional owners of the land where the campus is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia and Indigenous peoples globally who are presently studying, working, or contributing to Sydney Met.
